Straight ahead animation is a lot more fluid because there isn’t any key frames . For my straight ahead animation a made a frog forming into a frog egg . I wanted to show a lot of random movement and speed so I made it look as if it was melting and near the end it speeds into a little egg. I’m really happy with how this turned out.

squash and stretch
By using squash and stretch it allows me to exaggerate the movement making it look a little more realitic. For this I did a bouncy ball that clealy demonstates squash and strectch. The first thing I did was create a bouncy ball template to ensure the ball has a smooth transistion, I then drew each ball seperaly counting in ones. If I was to redo this animation I would make it slow down a bit more when its in the air so when it hits the ground the impact fits tghe speed.

This is the template I did before I started animating.
pose to pose animation where 3 key frames are drawn first ,this is then combined with straight ahead. using these techniques ensures the face is moving more naturally. I first found this animation hard because I kept mixing up the frames however the more I did it the easier it got. This is actually my second attempt at doing this.

after affects practice
after making my connections motion graphics I wanted to practice making smoother lines because that’s one of the issues with it. As well as practicing simple lines I also plan to practice more complex techniques such as adding characters and background.
First motion graphic connections

For my motion graphics rotation I wanted to use this as a opportunity to play around with the new program and learn After effects. I found this program very challenging and confusing.
I decided to animate different scenarios s of connections one being connections of the world though the internet and the other being connections on a crime scene bored. I then used premier pro to put the video together and render it. I enjoyed this first rotation but if I was to do it again I would add more scenarios and edit the video to a higher standard, however I’m happy with how it turned out as I’m still learning the program.
